Three Legacy Ships
Three ships, one ocean story. My quilt honors CUSS 1, Glomar Challenger and JOIDES Resolution and traces ocean drilling history from Project Mohole to IODP. Photos printed on fabric, a gold "drill pipe" quilting shows clockwise rotation, and Civil War potholder piecing joins the blocks. JOIDES Resolution Expedition 390 quilt.
