Renaissance Italy shines in my Graceless Heart review, an Isabel Ibañez historical fantasy with jewel magic, secret witches and wizards. Ravenna Maffei risks everything to save her brother. I loved the research and lyrical prose, but noted pacing problems at the Luni castle and a rushed enemies to lovers arc with Saturnino. Final grade C+, I’ll read book two.
